My 10 year old son and I have been at it again, and have created two more battle cars for our Axles and Alloys game.
Charlies is the
Red Rocketeer, a van armed with a turret mounted medium missile launcher and a smoke launcher, while I opted for the more 'up-close-and-personal'
Disco Inferno, a pick-up truck armed with a huge flame-thrower on the side, a rear facing military grade pulse laser, and a big ol' rusty ram on the front.
The cars are matchbox-scale Fast Lane cars, and the weapons are old Games Workshop.

I'll have to get on to mine sometime.

Nice! How'd you do the grills in the windows of the van?
Very nice work again. Really like those cans!
Thanks yor the feed back guys- Charlie and I are having a great time working on these- it's real quality time and it's got him really enthusiastic about painting again. The boy's got some skill that needs nurturing (He's only 10, and when I look back at some of the rubbish I painted in my teens, I can see he has a lot of potential).
Challanged- I used aluminum mesh avalaible from car repair shops, like Halfords in the UK. You will find it in the car-body repair section, with the spray paint and so on. It costs £2 for an A4 sheet, which will go a long way. You can cut it with a craf knife byt I fing it distorts. It's easier to use clippers.
